Day 1 of 100

It’s time for a Mulligan. I started this blog a while ago then had to abandon it for several reasons. Then COVID hit and the idea of doing a blog in my “spare time” was not feasible. But, I’m back and determined to make these 100 days count.

The original intent of this blog still stands. I have emotional baggage weighing on me and physical weight dragging me down, so I hope to use these next 100 days to shed some of that. I have unfinished projects that keep me up at night and I have my paying job to work on at all hours, plus my unpaid work to tend.

I’ve been living some very stress-filled days and I plan to use the next hundred – maybe in 10 day sprints if that works out – to check a lot of things off my to-do list and change my eating and exercise habits to change my shape.

So far today I’ve stayed away from most of the foods that I’ve been indulging in lately. The list includes bread, pasta, rice, chips, soda and alcohol. It’s hard to break the habit of eating these things whenever I want, especially being isolated and working at home (where no one can see or judge!) but I’m going to give it a try.

One trick I’m trying on day one is to substitute a mug of bone broth for my dinner tonight. Instead of sitting in front of the TV enjoying a crime procedural with dinner in my lap, I’ll do it with a cup of hot bone broth in my hand instead.
